I think he was questioning that he was videoing the timelapse, am I right joesmkns24? The 7D can only video for 12 mins at a time, so you can't get 'proper' timelapses out of them, you have to buy an overly expensive gizmo that plugs into the camera and takes however many photos per minute for however long you want the timelapse for, then edit that into a video clip to really get the best
you can plug it in to a laptop with EOS utility and control it from there, using the built in interval timer and take a series of photos so you don't even need to buy anything
well thats how I do it anyway and it's much easier than filming a timelapse
yeah, I didn't say it wasn't possible! Its frankly daft to pay £90 or however much that thing is just to do a few sunsets every now and then cannot wait till my f*cking plaster is off so I can actually get out and use mine, been sitting around doing very little since november and its killing me D:
Sam, I suppose, but when filming biking, do you want to lug a laptop out with you?
yeah it is a cheap option, I haven't been able to use my 550D properly as my computer is too bad but I guess that situation won't improve over time like yours
whenever I have done it I take my mum's netbook which is tiny but I don't think I'll be doing timelapses away from the car anyway so I just leave it in there
sweet! I guess I'm one for standing on a hilltop in the middle of nowhere, theres only a few places round here any good for timelapse style shooting, and they're all in the middle of nowhere
again, not saying its not smooth, or that it doesn't work in any way, but 14 mins of solid footage sped right up, you're losing a lot of memory that is essentially wasted when its sped up, and you can't do long timelapses unless you keep pressing record, but then, you're still incredibly limited by battery and memory
