Well our team is sponsored by Elka, but Elka doesnt make a shock that works for the 2011 demo yet, i am running the double until Elka makes a shock that works with the new demo.

 have you tried the Double barrel? Can you say something how it feels on the demo and if the adjustable range is wide enough to find the right setup?

 I got the second generation bump stops, go to your local shop, they should be able to get them for you also

 Yup, make sure you have the second generation bumpers (the first batch that got shipped with frames were not the correct compound and will crack on you) and the small spacer to put under your crown race and you are set

 nah, the first gen ones broke apart resulting the frame dents, but the 2nd gen ones are fine, check with your shop to make sure you got the 2nd gen ones, a bunch of guys on our team got the 1st gen ones with their frames, including myself.

 is specialized being cool about it.. like if it would happen would they take care of the damage?

 they will send you the 2g bumpers for free, but if you damage your frame because you did not have the correct ones on there, you are on your own.

 Sorry can I ask what the problem is with the bump stops? Ive had a pair of Fox's since 08 and Ive got a 2011 demo frame coming in... whats the issue?

 i get my frame and i get my 40 then like 6 ppl call n text me sayin ppl are denting their frame and thats the worst fork for that frame all a bunch of other crap.. kinda aggravated me cause I got a lot of money involved in this already.. but i've been doin research and talking to this gentleman here about it and it seems not to be an issue anymore.. what it was is the lower crown race doesn't clear the bottom of the downtube right by the headtube so if you don't use the 2nd gen bump stops that specialized is providing with the frame it'll dent the frame.. the whole thing kinda caught me off guard and i panicked a bit haha.. just run the right bump stops and everything is cool

 no problem wirenut! I dont mind it all, i just dont want to see anyone mess up their frame! Seriously though, make sure you have the 2g stops. The first batch of frames that were shipped had the bad stops shipped with them, the 2g and the 1g ones look exactly the same, the only difference is the compound they used to make them, the 1g ones were breaking apart, then you get metal on metal contact = dented frame

 it comes with adapters so you can use any 83mm crank and threaded BB that you want. But if you want to use the true PF30, its only sram and truvativ.....although i do not even know of an 83mm pf30 compatible crank that is available yet. I am running the decendent crank, but its with standard threaded cups.

 sorry mate, you know whether the BB adapters allow the use of 83 or 100mm axle crankset??..ive ordered the 83mm atlas, before the cups arrived. Cheers.

 what happened? Are you OK? or cant you ride due to the weather?

 Had a moto accident, damaged my back pretty good. I can walk now but still feel numb on my left legs mostly. The whole back bone was pressed down causing the bloodlines and nerve being pinched. Sux but true hahahaha... hopefully I can get it fix and back riding again soon. Just as the season about to start too was really prepared for it. So far I'm recovering quite good, I can still do some works. Gives me high hopes.... thanks for asking man.

 chain reaction ships to usa and has nukeproof ti springs.. i'm gonna consider it when i get closer to the end of my build.. about $200 for 200 grams less weight.
