I've seen it done before, so I'm not doubting it's working or not, I'm just pointing out that you'll likely have pawl issues in the future if you don't sort that out!
Yeah, or what if i just got a rubber ring that was fatter, ? i did consider machining it also, but then that means the chainline will be more difficult!
That's very true. Maybe run two seals? One outside the hub where there's the gap, and the other where it's supose to be? Also, I HIGHLY recommend putting some grease around said seals to help water penetration.
Yes thanks you've just made me realise i could use the original seal for the hub and just make the inner diameter of it larger so that it fits this driver!
only just saw this comment, yeah i could put a sound check up... and actually many profile hubs sound different depending on the frame it is on and rim used and how old it is, whether it's oiled or not and how exposed to the rain it is...
