Gee in full flow across the top rock garden. He obliterated the first split with a 1:00.583 and looked like he could be on a good run but by the time he came into sight of the cameras on the motorway it was all beginning to unravel. A back wheel on the brink of collapse still held together enough to net him fourth place but he wasn't happy; at this level you can ill afford a mechanical of any description even if the damage can be limited to a solid fourth place.
It is a D3. Maybe if you knew helmets then comment. because you
can see there's a Troy Lee logo, right in the middle on the top of the helmet. and the mouth piece is exactly that of a D3, It's not a 661evo, because if you look at the back of it and the visor, it looks nothing like the one he is wearing. ITS A TLD D3!!!
i think you'll find it IS a D3. After his crash in Dunedin, here in new zealand, where he knocked himself unconscious he went straight out and bought a D3! As it happens it was a sam hill one and he was even seen to cover up the sam hill signature with electrical tape. here is a photo from another angle showing clearly that it is a D3 www.pinkbike.com/photo/6877898
That is for sure not a high roller. The tread pattern looks nothing like a high roller and you can see that is says continental on the side of the front tire if you knew anything what tires looked like.
No, they're proto Continental Rammsteins - they've been carrying a lot of development work out on new tyres over the past twelve months and this is one of the results.
no it isnt a D3, none of the atherton's run troy lee helmets, They are 661 helmets, you can see the front jaw protector is way more pointed than a D3 and, well everything is completely different!
