I dont get why they spend loads of money on skate parks for people that spend $20 on a peice of wood, Then just neglect the people who actually spent good money on a bike.

 I would respect wood pusher's, If MTB's got the same spent on us out of our tax's... But we dont. The gov will build a skate park for those who brought a plank because they cant afford a bike, but if we want a dh track or park we have to build it ourselves, or 3rd party companys must do so. Save a tree and ride a bike!

You must have a pretty thick skull, my longboard alone was $650 plus shipping, which is at par with most bikes you see in a skate park.  Funny thing...... calling some one else ignorant. Yes, they are called skateparks. You just happen to be one of those f*cking idiots who doesn't get it. Maybe, just maybe, if we still lived in the late 60's and 70's then the word "skatepark" would be exclusive to skateboarders. Trying to fall back on that excuse is..... Well, the very definition of the word "ignorant". You know the word skatepark has a bigger and broader meaning in todays era, but you willfully "choose" to "ignore" this. Wantedlonewolf brought up an excellent point. If I am a tax payer, and I have a use for a publically funded facility that others do, then by following the civil rights act (in both countries) I should be able to.

Along with this, most governments (city, state, federal, or local) do not call them skateparks. They are referred to as "hazardous facilities". Under the hazardous activities act in both countries these hazardous facilities should cover skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, bicycles, and pogo sticks. However, local governments are able to trump these acts. Most cities that create these facilities are still ignorant to other hazardous sports besides skateboarding. Therefore to prevent further damage to their city, they create skateparks and then make the fines for street skating steeper. If cities were to recognize the bikes cause the exact type of damage to public property you can bet your ass they will also be exiled to the reservation you call a skatepark. As for the moment 90% of most cities don't see us as a threat, so we are still free to roam.

It's nice to have a skatepark to visit and ride once in a while, but we should just be happy we aren't forced into it.

 Funny, you think 15 lines shows a quality of density in a person. That's about as backwards and ignorant as you can get. I'm willing to bet most of your books only contain pictures or pop-ups.

Secondly, it may be a good idea to brush up on your grammar since you started your statement directed at me, and then continued on with the rest of your dribble. If you are speaking to some one else, well there are ways of making that apparent. I know the concept eludes you, but there's no harm in learning to speak properly before you do.

It's also not my fault that typing out 15 lines (in a space 1/3 the size of the available page is tough for you. If you are able to even comprehend this mathematical equation, you'd see how many less lines there actually are.

Lastly, being articulate and well spoken is hardly being "mad". Obviously in the English language and through Ebonics there are plenty of ways to express emotion. None of which I've done. Everyone pays taxes and everyone would see that money being spent in different things he or she likes, but that is not possible. There are many skateparks, perhaps too many, that is true, but there is not room for a downhill track in or near every (big) city.

Some concrete blocks and rails take way less space than a for us reasonably extended bike track, space that has to be used properly by the government. Each little square foot of land means a tax income for the country when it's in use by a civilian or by a company. Some of those parcels are meant for recreational use and will not provide an income for the state. The less a country "spills" on recreational zones while keeping the inhabitants happy, the better for the economy.
