It's to stop the bottom spinning with the steerer like the top half. And I'd wait till they refine them because they are to pricey for something that doesn't work properly.....

Even the tr!xer, just before I took myne off it was getting air in The line making the brake unusable every 2 days.

Yer I got my dad to cause he made that mount for The bottom of it because I couldn't find one anywhere! Lol and then he drilled to holes and tapped the threads
