Thats what Greg from Straitline sayd:
When a axle breaks we warranty it but in truth we are forced to warranty our suppliers material!

They supply us material and we simply machine it into our axle in the machine. so if they mess up or when their material has a flaw it reflects bad on us.

anything can break.. fatigue can not be avoided for one.. i bend my axle in a little crash.. never had that before with any peddal.. but they are stil one of the best peddals out there next to 5050's tup

They are replacing the axel for me free of charge so it's all good. There still the best pedals iv ever ridden IMO. Smile

Those look pretty new for 2 years... my pedals are like a year and a bit old and they are completly scratched and the anodize is rubbed and everything.

The paint on them just doesn't really come off, the sides of them are shredded to bits. but the pins are also so high they stop the actual pedal body really hitting anything or getting scratched. Smile

The thought of a pin that high makes me cringe with pain.

Believe me, riding those pedals without shin pads, is just bad news.

 That's why they're a downhill pedal?

. Well yeah, but you can still slip a pedal and take it to your shins, even in downhill.....

But most people wear shin pads while downhilling so it wouldnt matter as much

why would u use these pedals for anything else but fown hill, trying to take your feet off in the air would be impossible, the pins glue your feet lol, i love mine!, i agree best pedals i have ever rode
