 Why the long tt?

If you use the front to centre measurement for this frame, you'd see it's actually very small. The tt just looks long because of the steep as head angle.

Very correct, and I put my response in the wrong place like an idiot, so what I initially said was......

It's actually not that long considering the super steep head angle, and extremely short rear end. The bike will ride just like a 20", and allow foot room for barspins and x-ups into the front foot. It's only at 22.8, which is fairly common for a lot of Dj bikes. Going shorter at 22" is great if you have a head angle of 71° or less, but if you run a short TT on a steep HA, then the crank arm will hit the tire.

NEVER buy a mountain bike based on TT length. Don't measure your frames that way. MTB's are not BMX bikes, and every frame has unique all around geometry.

im not sure what my ha is on my pinscher (72 with 430mm a to c mabey?), but my crank arms/pedals/feet dont hit the tire while attempting barspins even with my 21.5 tt.

I call bs on that, my feet hit the tire while turning with a 21.65 tt. its ridiculous.

Your head angle is closer to 72 with a rigid yes, but the whole geometry between this thing and a dob is completely different, so to be honest you cant compare them. like yeah you can say you can compare tt lengths, but you really cant.

edit: and yeah i don't believe that thy don't hit. I hear that is a common problem with short dobs.

mabey the way i kinda tuck my seat and lean my cranks back a lil makes it so that they dont touch. i also ride with my feet pretty far back on my pedals. and im 90% sure my cranks are 170 so that could also make a dif.
