yeah...went there about 2 weeks ago to meet up with Jesus John and Mike to load our bikes into Mike's car for a short drive to Pitch Hill (Dorking) and could not resist having a proper wander around the old bike park (got in through the woods next to the Sandown Race Course)

really sad to see it all gone..and no sign of the "hotel complex" we were kicked out over!

it never really got the change to shine?

when it was open during early summer-Autumn 2010, not many riders were coming to ride at Esher, everyone that rode the pump track loved it, but just not many riders in all Frown

and it was closed for Winter 2010/2011 when the Esher X rebuild started and the insurance had lapsed on the bike park

John and I did loads of work on the Pump Track whilst Esher X was being developed, we had started to open up the area at the back of the photo(where you can see an old dirt jump, the site went back another 80 foot!), which would have doubled the size of the Pump Track

shame we had to knock it all down before leaving the site in March 2011 Frown

But i do feel lucky to have atleast ridden a few times unlike other people... now iv loved pump tracks ever since. Just got to find a place to make one now :S

yeah its really hard finding somewhere to build another one?

the new "pump trail" in N London (Tottenham - Lordship Recreational ground) is totally lame, and the people that run it don't seem interested in redeveloping it to work properly, but just want volunteers to "maintain" the trail which means raking gravel and sweeping water out of puddles

ah that sucks... especially when the land is already there and has had permission granted to make something there. Where i am there is litteraly no free land anywhere that is not owned by someone or used.

welcome to the UK my man!

every damn square inch of land is owned by someone, or something ( a registered company)

its mindblowing when you go to British Columbia in Canada and see 1000s of miles of "Crown Land" that has no owner so to speak, and is so deep into the interior that no one cares what you do in terms of trailbuilding
