2nd Chapter in Tha Next Episode... not gonna lie...was pretty tempted to throw it back together like it is... but I need some color in my life... bright, rich color...
Aint done yet! I used a stripper called Tal-Strip II. $7.80 at O'Reilleys Auto. 2 cans with do a TR frame and fork lowers... but just. Instructions: 1. Brew coffee. 2. Put on slippers and go out to the garage. 3. Tear down beloved bicycle. 4. Place frame in large tub and hose it down in nice coating of Tal-Strip II. 5. Go inside and fill large cup with tasty java, ponder putting pants on, then discard the idea. 6. Drink coffee with right hand while washing perfectly good paint off a fresh raw frame with your 2-gallon jump sprayer and hot water. 7. Flip frame over, spray other side down, refill coffee. 8. Repeat step 6. 9. Refill coffee, post pictures on Pinkbike, again shoot down the idea of getting dressed, continue on to couch.
nice fucking job, man !!!...thanks for posting the infos and can't wait to see it done...I hope you overcame the desire to trade it for something else !!!...can't see riding anything else for now...until the carbon version comes out...also, don't crush my dream of getting one, again...haha
I literally did absolutely NOTHING other than spray it, watch the paint crinkle up, then wash it off with water. What didn't come off I sprayed again, watched it crinkle up, then washed it off with water!
Took about an hour. My tip will be to spray it down, wait a few seconds for the paint to start bubbling up, then scrape the lettering off(paints 2-3 times as thick where the lettering is, atleast on the 450), then respray that area again. And do NOT wait to long to wash the trashed paint off! If it dries out it's even harder to get off. Basically you can spray it, count to 20 and wash it off! Oh, and maybe just do small sections at a time so you have a place to pick it up by if needed?
No its not! His frame has a different rear end that is half an inch shorter because he didnt like the long ass chainstays on that thing, sorry DIRT for pinging your dashboard with our conversation LOL
No worries... not like this is about anything uber technical! It's about pretty colors! lol! Ping on, I love entertainment as much as the next fat kid who should be riding his bike instead of making girls want to own it...
