Yeah, it allows you to stress the spokes and detension the wheel. Typically done a few times during a wheel build to bring tension to the correct place and build a lasting wheel that doesn't loosen up.

6D ATB-3: A $769 DH Helmet That Can Be Repaired After a Crash (Sometimes)
You only get one head. I've totaled expensive, new helmets on the very first ride. To be able to rebuild one would be pretty cool. Always worth getting the best helmet you can afford. I have a 6D half shell and really like it. No need for a gravity helmet for me anymore but looking at their enduro full face for aggressive e-bike rides.
