im hoping to get something like a fox float or van 160mm on the front then just a standard wheel set maybe some cobalts and then some elixars 7 for breaks and just ur ordinary parts, but yeah thatd be great to cruize around laguna a bit.. do u have a am or xc bike though?

 All mtn. Very similar build to what you are thinking about doing. I would def recommend a 2x10 drive train with a mrp 2x chain guide over a 3x9,10 because the shifting is so fast. Also if you can afford it, a dropper post like a Joplin 4.

 yeah i was even thinking to do a 1x10 though and have the front sproket alot smaller just to save some money.. do u know if thats worth it?

 It'll make some climbs harder but it's definitely doable. Are there chain guide tabs on your frame? A 2x10 won't be much more expensive. I don't run a chain guide right now and dont really have issues with dropping my chain the only thing that bugs me is the chain slap which would definitely get better with a guide.
