 Holy fucking horrible alignment Batman.
  • 1 0
 You mean the camber? haha
  • 2 0
Yeah, positive camber is cool for tractors and race cars from the 20's to 50's, but doesn't seem all that necessary for a modern day Corvette. From what I have heard the cars of the time had terrible oversteer tendencies, so they put positive camber on the front tires in an attempt to balance the handling. Shouldn't he be after more of a negative camber like all the cool kids these days?
  • 2 2
No he shouldn't be after negative camber like all the car scene fags. Pretty sure a moronic ricer doesn't own this.

K, so why does a high end automobile need tractor alignment?
  • 1 3
When you can afford this car you can talk shit about it. Until then....Shush. I think it looks great and I'm sure it still handles fucking amazing.
  • 2 1
It's cool that you know nothing about alignment, but it has nothing to do with the cost of the car. FYI: Hostile comments usually work better when you actually know something about the topic at hand.

So, once more, why does a Corvette need positive camber? Anybody with an intelligent answer? (Not looking in your direction EnderShadow)........

Also, how is talking about alignment talking shit about the whole car? Butthurt much?

It's not even that far off being aligned perfectly.
  • 2 1
Ok, for the millionth time, Why does a Corvette need positive camber? What is the purpose of it for this application?

(I don't care if you love Corvettes, I don't care if it looks perfect, and I don't care how much it costs. Maybe I should have been more clear with my question, but god damn).

 It doesn't need positive camber.

 I like to go Phast

What's the purpose of stretched tires? Right. None. It's a style thing. Maybe, just maybe, the owner likes the camber. So please...try again.

Wow, just when I thought your comments couldn't possibly be any stupider. You have just raised the bar for idiots everywhere.

Y'know how I know you're not mechanically inclined? You should probably hit up google and do a bit of reading (about alignment) before having conversations with adults. You are obviously in over your head here.
  • 2 4
Clearly what I said went over your head. Moron. The owner MOST LIKELY noticed the camber and said f*ck it. I think it still looks great. DO YOU UNDERSTAND a*shole?!
  • 3 2
Hahahaha. Why are you so mad? You're not even making sense any more. Granted I never really understood you to begin with, so not much has changed there. You should probably take a time out. In fact, have a coke and a smile and shut the fuck up.

(Bonus points to anybody who knows where that last line is from).

Your use of capital letters does not impress me.

You're a f*cking moron. Please continue to pointlessly argue with me after this. The owner didn't purposely make the car have positive camber. CLEARLY. What I am trying to make you understand is that he more than likely noticed it happened and just left it as is. Why is that so hard to understand?

So what you are saying is that you are massively raging and sticking up for something stupid and lazy just because it's stupid and lazy??????? Wow, you are a champ bro. You have justified nothing to me and made yourself look stupid, ignorant and lazy. Congratulations!! Do you have any other wisdom you would like to impart on me? You must have the most dialed Corvette on earth since you know so much about them bro. Teach me everything you know. In fact, when do we get to see yours? I wish to inspect it's alignment.

Pro tip: You would make a horrible mechanic. Learn to say "would you like fries with that?" really, really well.

 Reck,

Any car should have negative camber. This is not a debatable topic, and can be read in numerous suspension dynamics engineering textbooks as well as articles online. Even my 21 year old car has -1 deg total negative camber (-.5 per side). Track cars see a lot more. The question you have isn’t unwarranted, and if indeed the car has positive camber it would entail it’s not set up correctly, and will understeer like a barge when pushed into a corner. Yes, some modern day ‘ricers/drifters’ are obvious trolls in this area, with cartoonish camber that necessitates tire changes after a lap around the block (and a huge loss of traction), but the correct amount of neg camber helps a car corner at speed, while positive will ruin all roadholding in corners. Flat is best for straight line speed, but all cars are supposed to corner. So with thtat, all roadgoing cars have negative camber to some degree, and yes, only tractors and offroad agriculture equipment have positive camber.

I propose that perhaps the photo is what’s creating the illusion of positive camber, and perhaps it’s aided by uneven ground? Just a thought. Would be silly to spend large amounts of coin on a 600HP car, only to have the suspension set up incorrectly. Although these days it wouldn’t surprise me.

Hope that helps answer the question.

 TL;DR: Reckless is correct.

Funny how a well educated, 100% correct post, based on things like Formula SAE car building experience generates negative props. Go team Awesome! (actual awesomeness may vary).

 I learned something new.
  • 2 0
I didn't. But what a delightful gong show this turned out to be.

Angelo, I hope to god that you are right and it's just the angle of the photo/how the wheels are turned/uneven ground causing it to appear to have positive camber. Either way, thanks for dropping knowledge. Eh ender, I hope you actually read that and learned something.

Some other thoughts are in road racing, you generally set camber depending on a tires wear. So camber for a race car is determined upon the track. Either way it ends up being a degree of negative camber, sometimes past 2 deg. That's racing though. A lot of road cars are pretty neutral and allow variance of +/- 1deg, but these are cars intended to understeer and be 'safe' (i.e. crash the front of the car in a straight line). This car is about fast and not about safe, and it shows because stock it will adjust past -1 deg. So again, let's hope it's just the photo.

Batman can run his camber how ever he likes , batman don't give no fucks

Holy shit batman!! thats a bad ass vette!!! Eek factory or full custom ?
  • 1 2
Not factory. Has a body kit for sure. Widebody too I'd say. Can't tell which model it is. I'd say a Z06 or a Zr1. Probably a Z06
  • 1 0
Said Zr1 from where i got it from , forget which source that was though.
  • 1 0
Lol. It says right on the bottom right hand corner. zr1bodykits.com. I cant believe I missed that.
