That derailleur seems to be quite forward in position relative to the cassette. My X7 seems to be like that as well..

Yeah, SRAM derailleurs (except the X.0 DH) are optimized for a wide-range cassette, therefore on a road cassette they have a lot of room.

Benefit of more chain wrap, but shifting performance could possibly be hindered... Thinking of transitioning to a shimano ZEE rear dérailleur because my x7 seems to be struggling with a 5 speed setup :/
You should get a white handlebar to match the fork
