Hey dude!

The status wheel set is heavy but I wouldn't say it was flexy buddy. It was very robust when I owned it (well the rear hub bearings decided to go after about 2 months light use!)

I opted for hope pro 2 Eco hubs (team green) laced to Mavic 721 rims. I'm going for a similar setup on my demo but will be using 823 rims!

 Sweet, thanks for the reply dude. I think im gonna run hope pro 2's for sure, just tossing up between 721's and Spank Spike race rims now.

 Good choice buddy! Can't go wrong with your hub choice. Never heard any reviews on the spike rims but you so get them in some sweet colours. Mavic rims are strong dude so I would highly rate them.

 Thanks mate! Actually haven't ridden it yet, need a new front brake mount as my previous one wasnt compatible! Well ill be exchanging the two red ones as don't fancy having an odd red rear mount!

 Hey mate, the shock is a mid tune model which both suits me ands the fsr suspension design of the status. In comparison to an equivalent coil shock, the vivid air is lighter, travel is a lot smoother and takes big hits with ease. Only negative is it lacks small bump compliance
