Make sure you have a good speed, you want to be going a good speed so both tires can clear. Than just focus on getting a good pull up, the higher your front end the higher you can hop. When I hop I get ready to whip a bit to make it easier for my legs to bend and when my tire hits you it wont go right up your ass.
true, i havent practiced in forever, always boosting lips and bowls. was thinking of making a boost/hop bar soon, 4' high and 1" increments. i have a feeling it would help me improve drastically
It's always cool knowing how high you can hop but if you want to get really good at hops just hop over everything you can when your just riding around town.
usually what i do, but since i live in the country a good 25min ride from town i think a height bar set up on the driveway or the mini bank would be more practical for learning, plus i can take it to parks and boost higher
