im pretty sure.... this IS the first 9. almost 9 years.... to see one. you should send this to specialized... you would deserve a brand new one for doing this!!!
thanks for the heads up, but just some plus on this: the first was ran into a tree at very high speeds, and it is not ripped the headtube off. the second is a demo 8 2011, who cares? newer frames are much more weak, they tend to brake and crack more, also the third is the same... demo 8 2008, and? we are talking about THE most strong frames ever made and specific a demo NINE, show us just one more demo 9 like this... you are in for a beer from me! we all seen the "broken" demo frames on pb... but this is the frist nine series we have ever.
Ive also seen a demo 9 frame with cracked front triangle near the axle where the upper link attaches. Cant find it, but it ive seen it on pb. With the 8 the list goes on and on (see in my favorites). With specialized, new designs are not weaker at all. It may be with other brands but not specialized. They are balanced better and in areas where tubing can absorb loads by flexture. That is done to not exceed the welds capacity and its proven to last longer when done properly. So im still saying it: nothing lasts forever especially if you push it hard. Spesh are great bikes, and im probably gonna get one someday.
