Fair enough. I always max out the psi in my suspension.

Great for AM, etc. Love my dropper for the moontinz. XC should be clipped in and a saddle up yer ass all the way. Skinny tyres at high pressure and a light bike to pedal like a mad man at warp speed. Gotta keep xc real 4eva.

The addition of a dropper seat post made me fall in love with the sport all over again. I'm 6'6" and usually a timid downhiller. Dropping the post and lowering my center of gravity makes it all that much more fun.

Pick a seat post and be a dick about it. Smile

I like the principle of the dropper posts, but the whole point of a fixed saddle is biggest bang for buck each pedal stroke, the idea of dropping te post just dumps on leg efficiency and ultimately knee loading. Just have a qr clamp and move it Smile

@ Gravityassisted , i dont think you get the idea of dropper posts, they are aimed at people who to run the seat high on climbs and flat pedaling and drop the seat down when pointing the bike down rough stuff. You only really drop them when your out of the saddle for extra clearance to move your body over jumps and rock sections etc with a post height close to a DH bike. then up it goes again for XC type climbs. Perfect for AM type riding and tail centres

Didn't care for them until I actually tried one, then my perspective completely changed. Here in AZ, it was great not having to constantly get on and off my bike to raise or lower the seat as a lot of the trails here are a big mix of descents and climbs all in one.

It seems silly the way they are quick to raise and harder to drop,

Am I the only one who would (when for example a rock garden appears in the first wild ride of a new trail) like to be able to slam the seat instantly?

and when I want the saddle up, grab my saddle and while pulling the underside leaver hoist it to the correct height (Not preset)?

i.e) Why Is The Action Not INVERTED?!?!

i agree with you totally, as soon as a dropper post is on the market that moves up and downwards on shifter/lever alone, with out the use of ridet weight to lower it the 'dropper post' will be perfected. it will happen soon i reckon .

the best post on the market is the Gravity dropper.. all the other post suck.if you don't believe me just look it up... I have used them all...and I agree with the masses on this one ... if you want a post that will never fail check out the GD. also not every one needs a dropper.. it is all up to the rider.. I will put this in the same file as flat pedals....

If somebody could make one that actually works as advertised and doesn't fail in 6 months. Then maybe and that's a big maybe

'No, learn how to ride with your saddle up like a boss.' i had to answer this even if its not what i really think.

this is a good poll because a lot of people don't know if they should get one and what one to get... the answer is simple... if you find yourself on steep climes all the time

$400 dollars to drop my post or $20 to pull a lever and let gravity do the work. Ill choose gravity.

As long as you have tried one.
