Review: Forge+Bond Shift EM - A US-Made Carbon Wheelset for $1250
I've had my bitex hubs for a bit now, about 400 miles on them and they've been good and I crank pretty hard sometimes for an average Joe. I know people aren't a fan of the aluminum axles, but is there something else?

Ibis Releases New 130mm Ripley
@jdejace: yep, that's the part I'm mostly worried about. Otherwise at the price they offer, the tempo is quite a deal.

Ibis Releases New 130mm Ripley
@cassinonorth: I love the way the element looks, but it does seem on the RM page that every other person complains about the small bearings failing within a season of riding! Is it true that the previous stumpy's rear triangle is pretty weak too? Spur is still at the top of my list for next bike.

Ibis Releases New 130mm Ripley
@nerdymtbiker: I'd be nervous buying an aluminum trail bike frame that is that light. Especially from Commencal. So many light aluminum frames have failures at the seat tube/ top tube junction and near the chainstay weld lines. But maybe they've improved their QC and mfg process.

Ibis Releases New 130mm Ripley
@nerdymtbiker: has anyone confirmed that commencal frame weight? That's very light for an aluminum frame!? Was it an XS with no hardware? If it is that light I would expect failures in the usual locations under heavier riders.

First Ride: YT's New Decoy SN is the Capra's Motorized Counterpart
@rickybobby19: Unfortunately every user experience has been vastly different. The left drive side of the motor on my own has failed a few times before and every time I rebuild it, it loses a little top end power and becomes more likely to fail again.

First Ride: YT's New Decoy SN is the Capra's Motorized Counterpart
@BermSkid72: this is exactly why I don't want anything electronic on my bike. (although I have to admit I love the clean look of wireless/cableless dropper and shifting)

Pinkbike Poll: Are XC Courses Getting Too Gnarly?
Was it a DH race last year that ended going thru stupid high consequence orange plastic mesh fence tunnel to sharp turn drop onto a 45deg down plywood exit ramp? Stuff like that, poorly thought out and not for mountain biking.

Social Round Up: After the Rain at the Crans Montana XC World Cup
I hear you and we'll see soon what the podium looks like and then we'll know what tires were right for the race. If I had to bet, you're still going to see skimpy tires in all podium positions cuz that uphill is a beast.
