Afaik they will try and make it a proper women category next year. Paz Gallo, Fernanda Quiroga and Fernanda Gildemeister where invited this time to check out the course during training and do a lap after the mens quali. I per chance had a Pre-Show stream from some Chilean(?) sports channel (DLT Sports) in my YT recommendations where they showed the quali runs and two of the womens runs. They also had an interview with Paz Gallo. Bit confusing though that the UCI page of the event already has a women elite race listed in the schedule for this year.
