I think points last 12 months, rather than resetting at the start of the season. So up till now hes been relying on points scored in the first hlaf of 2022.

@sngltrkmnd: : in the UK and Europe it is pretty common knowledge. Our classifications are a bit different, "ebikes" are similar to your class 1 bikes, and in terms of legal off road access, are legally the same as proper bikes.
Then we have a bigger gap to more powerful throttle things which require a number plate, licence etc to ride on the roads and off road are private land only. (or are ridden round city centres by chavs in balaclavas.)
