Bike Check: The Apogee One Comes to Market
It seems that by having that floating triangle linkage, they can (almost) independently control the initial and mid-stroke compression rates across a wide variety of shock sizes and travel. Perhaps each bike isn't modular, but I could see this design allowing for front triangle reuse across a wide range of bike types. It also provides many degrees of freedom of compression control, which might allow for EVIL-like feel without patent concerns.
