Well put guys, good to right the mis-information that "Pleney steeps" are dead. Its worth noting that Morzine is on the verge of receiving a huge amount of investment (115 Million Euros) into the Summer, Spring and Autumn months that will lead to a longer season, more lifts and more better trails. So its an important time to listen and respect these closures. Another key point is the OG Pleney singles were well thought out, finished in sensible zones and were built (using tools) to a high standard with catch berms, jumps and drainage. Vs the huge influx of trails in the now 'no free-ride zones' were mostly fall-line skid tracks that were built to a really shit quality and often basically just straight lines down the hill that not only led to huge erosion and drainage issues but also fired people out straight out onto a busy main road. These trails were fun for a few days of freeride flicks for the gram but then mostly turned to shit which was a super unsustainable model. We've not lost Pleney Steeps, its just been brought back to the classic/OG trails and quite frankly the best ones on the hill. Pleney Bangers for ever.
