Those guys spent $90,000 and 2,000 man hours and still don't know that silver and chrome are two different things?

CyclingTips Digest: Corruption, Crashes, $10,000 Framesets, A Radical New Chain, & More
With regards to the F1 crash replay, you're using that as a good example right? because they didn't show a single replay of the crash for about 15 minutes until they had confirmation that Grosjean was able to walk away from it and was talking to the medical people. After that they kind of overdid the replays but at that point we knew he was alive and relatively ok.

Video: Devinci's All-New Troy - First Look
@hamncheez: Interesting, I had no idea that leverage ratios were part of the way the patents were written up. Also 2013, seems I've been out of the loop for a while...

I thought Trek had a patent on the rear axle being a pivot point in the rear suspension. Did that expire or am I missing something here?

Photo Story: Reece Wallace Flies His Plane Around BC to Ride
"My plane's little 100hp motor burns less fuel than my truck, so it's a slightly more environmentally conscious choice than taking the ferry and driving every time I need to leave the island. Obviously not great, but the motor burns less fuel per trip than my truck - Reece" Skipped straight to the comment section didn't you.

Seriously, 5% sag and full volume spacers up front is beyond stiff, holy shit. I can't imagine that thing is any fun to ride on rougher terrain, there's just no compliance there at all.

The Frace F160 is Milled From a 70kg Slab of Aluminum
@fullendurbro: In theory, yes. But I'm not sure it can easily be reforged back into pieces of 7075, more likely it will get recycled down to a lesser grade for beer cans or something because that's a lot easier. Not saying that's a bad thing, it just is what it is. Regardless of how it's recycled, removing over 70% of your starting material is a horrifically inefficient machining process.

The Frace F160 is Milled From a 70kg Slab of Aluminum
"It may sound like this leaves a lot of waste but the off cut material then gets used for other parts." They start with a 70 kg piece of metal and end up with an 16.8 kg bike. it's still pretty fucking wasteful.

The FCKW Frameworks Reclaimer Was Designed and Built Completely by Hand
I think you're probably right about the cleanup on the inside but I don't think he's worried about distortion as much. The top triangulated tube looks like it actually is welded but since it's right at the top of the seat tube, it'd be easy to clean up where the main top tube would be more difficult. Also, the bb and head tubes are also welded so it would seem he has a handle on managing heat to avoid distortion.
