Video: Joe Smith Isn’t Slowing Down in ‘Take It How It Comes’
@slayersxc17: I have both the V2 Dread and the V2 Druid and I must say that both of the bikes are fantastic. Having both bikes means that I can keep "lighter" parts on my druid and avoid falling into the trap of making it a mini-enduro bike. However, the druid is perfectly happy being a mini-enduro bike if you wanted to go that route. As far as the idler drag, it's an issue only when the chain is super dirty or not lubed up well. Having moved over to wax based lubes has been a huge benefit to the overall feel of the pedaling efficiency. As far as dealing with Forbidden as a company? They've been great! I busted a rear seatstay on my dread in a race and they crash replaced it without any hassle at all, and they are always willing to help out with getting your bike feeling great suspension wise. Final thing I'd say is that if you are 190+ its worth looking at https://cascadecomponents.bike/products/druid-v2-long-stroke-link or getting the damper tuned to a higher compression tune as it just plants the bike that much more. I much preferred the feel of the bike under more damping than I did shoving air spacers in the rear.

Review: Fox Podium Fork - Heavy, Expensive, Upside-Down, & Excellent
@Dougal-SC: I've seen the dyno charts and the knobs do what they need to. There's only so much range an adjuster can/should have before you need to change the underlying tune.

Review: Fox Podium Fork - Heavy, Expensive, Upside-Down, & Excellent
"The GRIPX2 damper range is interesting. Stock the HSC and HSR on GRIPX2 do very little and LSC not much either. So testers LSC/HSC/HSR position can be pretty much ignored with air pressure and LSR position being all that matters. Stock GRIPX2 is massively overdamped for a 57kg rider, so a firmer tune will be even worse." What are you even talking about? You say that there's nothing HSC and LSC do and then say that its over-damped. Pick one!

Video: Is Radial Really Radical? Understanding Schwalbe's New Sidewall
@andeh23: That might be because the Magic Mary knobs are complete crap on hardpack and dust on hardpack. I find the knob an knob shape on something like a Tacky Chain (or the Kryptols) so much better for the hardpack or dust on hardpack situations. The knobs on the Marys are just to tall/square for those conditions

SRAM Patent Hints at Universal Brake Mount
@Dougal-SC: Still a hell of a lot better than misaligned brake post mounts and the sea of bespoke derailleur hangers.

SRAM Patent Hints at Universal Brake Mount
@Dougal-SC: Don't you have some suspension to be dogmatic about on some other forum? Doesn't SRAM licensees UDH for free? https://www.universalderailleurhanger.com/ Seems like a whole lot of engineering capital to give away for free to "own the standards"

SRAM Patent Hints at Universal Brake Mount
@AndrewHornor: or just buy 1.5mm washers and stick those under your brake caliper. 203 is silly anyways, wouldn't be sad in the least if it goes away.

2024 Pinkbike Awards: Suspension Product of the Year Nominees
@VorsprungSuspension: Massive props to you for sitting into the weeds of this, and bringing receipts. Reading everyone's comments it's very apparent that there's some form of "gotcha" that some folks are trying to pin on Vorsprung to discredit what they've done. There's a lot of great suspension on there right now, and Vorsprung is right up there with the best of them, and if any other suspension company feels threatened then they should know what to do. Just build a better product.
