Pinkbike Poll: What Made You Stop Caring About Enduro?
Enduro is one of the purest forms of mountainbiking and we owe so much to enduro when it comes to bike development.
But as a televised race format, it's just not working. It was a breath of fresh air, new venues, new bikes,.. But the novelty just wore off when people stopped caring about following races on spreadsheets.

There Are Only 5 World Cup Enduro Teams Registered for 2026
@gnaralized: Nope, enduro was doomed as a race format from the get go. Not the UCI, not the e-bikes, but the format in itself killed it. People just weren't getting excited about following a race through spread sheats.

What Do World Cup XC Athletes Really Think About 32" Wheels?
Isla Short said it best: An attempt to rekindle a dwindling industry.
One of the last revolutions in the MTB market that really boosted sales, was the introduction of 29".
Can't blame 'em for trying I guess...

Mike Kazimer's Predictions for 2026
It's kind of sad/ironic that enduro has given us so much progression when it comes to bike design, but never really got the recognition for it spectator wise. We got pretty close to the elusive "one bike to do it all" and that's mainly because of the needs and feedback from EWS racers.
But alas, as a televised race format, it never really stood a chance.
