$3400 USD2018 Santa Cruz Hightower LT up for sale. This is the CC frame with X01 build. Retail approx. $7k
Upgrades include: DT350 hub internals with 54t rings, E13 bash guard, DYED Bro frame protection, and crank boots.
The build includes: full X01 drivetrain. Fox Elite fork with Fit4 damper and Fox DPX2 shock. Both have been serviced recently and new DU bushings added on the shock. Sram Guide brakes. Sram Reverb 175mm with paddle lever. New chain. New grips. New derailleur cable.
Not included are the pedals. Let me know if you have a saddle preference or I will swap for what I have in my parts bin.
This has been my favorite bike to date in my entire MTB experience. It is sad to see her go, but I work at a shop and it is time for the next chapter. I have taken very good care of her with the frame wrap and homemade undercarriage protection (we have a ton of rocks here). I have also done all the required maintenance. She is ready to rip.

That is exactly my choice also. Bontrager makes a grip like that. Bontrager SE Elite is what it is called.

Ban the Berms? – Opinion
Come on down to Austin, Texas. Trails are rocky. Not much dirt and 5 berms with 250+ miles of trail in town. I would kill for a berm or two more. Just sayin' bro

Trek Announces Fuel EX 27.5+
They came up with the Knock Block in order to solve a different problem other then the brakes hitting the top tube. Notice the downtube is very straight. Most manufacturers have a nice curve in the DT to make way for the fork crown. That curve lessens the strength and stiffness of the DT. With a straight DT Trek achieves a lighter, stiffer, and better handling bike. Because they used the straight DT that is why the Knock Block needed to be invented. This information I got from the Trek University website. Trek has online videos for dealers to learn about all their product. I think they hit it out of the park with this one. Nice work Trek.
