Giant Defy Advanced 0

$1950 USD
This is a lightly used road bike, I had to have my c4-6 vertebrae fused and that ended my riding this bike. It has sat unused for 4 years. In an attempt to get get riding again I changed it to a flatbar with the same di2 Ultegra setup. It is setup as a flatbar road bike now but I am including the OEM drop bar and Di2 shifters as well. Everything else is OEM. I may consider shipping but would prefer local pickup. If I ship, buyer pays all shipping costs. Cash, Paypal or Zelle payment options.

Pinkbike Poll: Mountain Biking Injuries
Had cervical C4, C5 and C6 fused and a titanium rod screwed into C3 and C6. Waiting for local trails to dry for my first mountain bike ride in a year. Some paralysis of right hand fingers has me looking a Shimano XTR Di2. I can't trace my injury to one specific incident but rather a culmination of broken helmets and accidents, eventually compressed my spine. Also from other accidents: - two separated shoulders - compression injury to right arm from car hitting me head on at 50 mph - broken ribs Wear a helmet, do weight bearing exercises to strengthen your neck, back, arms and core. Fitness is the best protection.

Shimano’s Official Di2 XTR Launch
What a bunch of battery-phobic luddites. Have none of you ever charged a cell phone before? How many exploding phone batteries are ending people's live? Grow a pair, already. I have Di2 on my road bike, it works flawlessly. I charge it twice a year (oh my what a strain that is) You charge this XTR battery 3 times a year, let me repeat that for the hard of reading... Three (3) times a year. Christ on a crutch, you lube your chain way more than that and with more effort than plugging in a simple cord. This Di2 stuff is bulletproof tech, way simpler and easier to maintain than mechanical shift. I have done nothing to my road Di2 and all the wires are protected through internal routings. Hike your skirts ladies, the future is here and you're stuck in first gear.
