@deco1: Yes, but if they're bringing in scabs, they're not flying them in from anywhere.

@warmerdamj: I'm certainly not denying that's a great head to head test of fitness. But in that respect so is road cycling. And to me that's what it looks like. Road cycling on mountain bikes.

@warmerdamj: The only other time I watched XC racing was the women's race in the Rio Olympics. I don't remember the course being this boring. Part of this course is on a road, and the rest might as well be except for a few very subdued rock drops. I don't think I'm disconnected from mountain biking. I just hope people watching this that aren't mountain bikers don't think that's all there is to the sport. I can't imagine it makes it very enticing to pick it up. But then again, there are probably people that never ride their mtb on dirt and think they are mountain biking. Not to disparage the urban downhill mtb races.

OK, I tried watching this, but got bored after 1 minute. This feels so disconnected from the mountain biking that is done around where I live.

Pinkbike's DH Fantasy League Staff Picks - Volume 1
They are? Where do you see that? I only see they award points based on final placing. If they don't make the finals, I'm assuming the final placing is based on semis, so for positions 11-15. Or am I missing something? I'm not sure what that would mean for someone who DNS or DNF in the finals. I guess they just move to 10th? Maybe higher if there are multiple DNS or DNF in the finals, based on semi positions.

According to the rules, Amaury Pierron shouldn't be on the pick list as he did not do 2 WC races last year, and wasn't on the juniors. He obviously belongs there of course.

Jackson Goldstone is definitely overpriced right now. Unfortunately.
