Frame bought new in 2014, and has been assembled with new components; well maintained. Never creaks, or when it does, only a basic disassembly of the pivot and cleaning does the trick for a long time. No dents, only a few paint chips. Fork stanchions are scratch free, oil was changed in the lowers recently. Review: Privateer 161 - The Budget Priced Brute
Can we stop arguing about milimeters, ratios, curves, for a moment and be happy to have a company that doesn't charge you a leg and an arm for a friggin bicycle (that seems well thought out) ? I'm surprised by the outcome of this review, which seemed a bit more negative than the preview. Not all of us are racers, yet most of all can enjoy the hell out of this bike and even improve our riding with it. I'm returning on pb and in riding after a 2y break, I'm surprised how numbers and charts now dictates the process of buying a bicycle. Do people ask for the same data when they buy a camry ?

Since then I had 3 days in the park with it. The rear wheel has a flat spot, forks lowers are scratched at the bottom and one stanchion has had a scratch at the top, but was fixed with nail polish and is now invisible. The bike runs smooth and I just have to give it up since I don't do park that much. I'm flexible on the price. I can include new pivots, bearings and rocker link + devinci bb pivot tool.
