@schu2470: yep, GG too on their frames. It's strong but it's not stiff so you have to use more if it to get the stiffness expected of carbon.

@likeittacky: yes. You're literally running the same equipment that wins world cup races and completes Rampage runs. Should we compare to F1 and MotoGP tires instead?
If you want a cheap tire, they're right there and they last forever, just like any civilian car tire with a fraction of the performance of race rubber.

Revel Launches Limited Edition Ranger Ti
Revel has never shown any interest in manufacturing frames in the US aside from a one-off thermoplastic DH bike that was another branding exercise like this bike. They're keeping that Colorado flag on the frame tho.

MTB tires that you and I want to ride are so much closer to a track tire or competition truck tire than a street tire. They're higher performance compounds, higher performance casings, reduced longenvity, increased cost of production and sale price.
A $100 car tire is closer in terms of quality to a $20 bike tire. Compare your $120 Maxxis MTB tire to a $700 Michelin track tire or $900 BFGoodrich truck racing tire.

@ungod: Look at Jeeps, SxS, dirt bikes, even road going trucks and plated race cars with 200TW tires. I'm in CO and I see them everywhere on motor vehicles.
