Video: The Ultimate Vintage GT Bike Collector
My first real mountain bike was a 1991 GT Karakoram that cost me around $600 CND. The burnt orange paint job was the best part on that bike.

Kona Supreme Operator

$1400 CAD
2011 Kona Supreme Operator: Purchased brand new in 2013 and probably has less than 15 mountain days on it. This cherry red, golden accented machine was only used for my yearly DH trip so I could avoid using a beat-up rental. The bike has a full Saint groupset, RockShox Boxxer WC fork and Fox DHX RC4 shock. Everything is stock except for the Easton Havoc direct mount stem, Race Face Atlas bars and ODI grips. The bike has always been maintained and other than the odd scuff, that any DH bike will have, is in great condition. The original MSRP was $6200 – asking $1400. For the full spec, refer to the attached link.

The Crappier, the Better - Opinion
My feelings exactly! I originally thought fat biking was fk’n stupid – until I rode one in the snow. Here in Northern Alberta we have to deal with half a year of winter or sh*t weather. Fat biking has allowed me to stay on the bike year-round and its natural friction generating properties helps to maintain fitness for when the trails are dry. Given the choice of fat biking or riding a trainer in the basement, fat biking wins every time!
