Results: Asa Vermette & Gracey Hemstreet Win the 2026 Red Bull Hardline BC Finals
I tend to think Asa’s “slow” start, but build speed like a freight train, method is playing mental havoc on his peers. They all seem to know that they have to go full tilt right out of the gate to keep pace, causing them to make small mistakes. Jackson, in particular, seems most affected in this way. Just my opinion, but that’s my observation from the ‘26 race season.

How Much Do 2026 World Cup Cross-Country Bikes Really Weigh?
Got to love how different, yet oddly similar, the mindset is between DH and XC:
DH: Our bike weighs 46lbs. Bike's actual weight = 41lbs.
DH: $hit! We need to add more weight or else it's unrideable!
XC: Our bike weighs 22lbs. Bike's actual weight = 26 lbs.
XC: $hit! We need to remove weight or else it's unrideable!

Pinkbike Poll: What Would You Change About the Mountain Bike Scene Where You Live?
I would kill to have some of that PNW “loam” to ride on. Central Texas limestone and moon dust eats tires and bearings.

5 New SPD Trail & DH Pedals Tested: Can Anyone Beat Shimano?
I’ve been on various versions of Shimano clippers pedals for more than 20 years. All of them still run perfect and have taken serious abuse. Bought some NukeProof Horizon SPD’s a couple seasons ago, just to try something different, and they are literally falling apart. Springs are rusted and axles come loose frequently.
Shimano, buy once and cry once. They will last you a lifetime with minimal maintenance.
