@poozank: if you’re shuttling, you probably have at least some trail etiquette knowledge.
His comment isn’t even really about E-bikes. It’s about beginners on e-bikes.

@Upat1intheMorning: 10000% agree. Unfortunately a lot of local trails are being tamed and flattened in the name of exclusivity. Before the neutering of trails, there were several (about 50% actually) that were really good for beginners and actually really fun for everyone. But those beginners complained because they couldn’t ride some of the other harder trails and now the harder trails are easier than the ones they started with. Frustrating but we’ve pretty much migrated to non system trails in the mountains as Dario called them haha

Please Don't Dumb Down the Trails
First real legitimate gripe with E-Bike(r)s. Never understood the arguments against them but me and my friends that have them, have also been on bikes for almost a decade and know trail etiquette. I figured everyone was like us but thinking back to when I started, you are correct. I couldn’t even get to a lot of the places I go to on regular bikes and it took time to progress skills and fitness while also learning the ins and outs of trail building etc.

Santa Cruz Tallboy 5 CC X0 AXS XL
$4,250 USDI have my 2024 Santa Cruz Tallboy 5 CC carbon frame (the expensive one) X0 Transmission (GX Transmission Derailleur, X0 cranks)
Bike is completely stock other than the much much better performing Fox Float X Factory and Continental Trinotal Tires. They have 2 rides on them but can also include a set of DHF and DHRII exo 3C tires with purchase. Also has the One Up EDC headset tool. The one that does not thread into the headset.
If you want the last real Tallboy, this is it. The Tallboy 5. Bike has been meticulously and expertly maintained.
