A serious case of a skills gap between concept and performance on my part. A fairly large jump on a downhill run, usual story, good jump, bad landing.
If you mean on a medical basis, I bruised a kidney, the resulting internal bleed left this heamotoma a large swelling caused by the collection of blood. Over 2 years later the side of the impact is still noticeably swollen :(

Yeah, Some may put it down to bad luck, others plain stupidity, personally I think its an imbalance in my enthusiasm to skill ratio. The face plant damage was last year, the clavicle & internal bleed was 2 years previous to that. I am not sure if two bad crashes is better than one almighty crash or not.

Its fair to say this crash was as close to killing myself as I wish to get. The internal bleed was only noticed relatively late on, watching the junior doctors face turn white as she ordered an emergency ultrasound was not a sight I wish to see again.

Great to see the cranks in use! Look spot on on that frame! Never did really suit my RC500.
