Review: Khyber V1 Multi-Pivot Bike Rack
Our reasoning is that cutting through a small locking bolt would be quicker than trying to remove our oversized bolt and hitch tightener. Additionally, it’s more likely that a thief would have a cordless angle grinder than the specialized tool needed to remove our racks. Unfortunately, if a determined thief really wants it, no system can be completely theft-proof.

Review: Khyber V1 Multi-Pivot Bike Rack
Without bikes it’s manageable solo, just push the baskets from behind and it pivots smoothly. It hits the limiter when it’s in position to put the pin in. Fully loaded we recommend two people!

@dreamlink87: the cost of materials and finishes is the driver of the price. We custom extrude the mast at 8mm thick, as well as the hitch spigot. The basket material thickness is greater than other options, and ours have side support unlike most others which greatly improves the stability since they don’t act like a spring when they bend.
We custom make our hitch stabilizer and our pins are also custom, not hardware store off the shelf stuff. Stainless hardware, hardcoat anodizing, electrolytic treatment, laser etching and annealing also add to the cost.
As for tariffs, right now they are on hold again so we will see how that plays out. We may look at some kind of subsidy for that if need be.

Review: Khyber V1 Multi-Pivot Bike Rack
So far we’ve had zero basket warranty’s. The double side supports and hollow design makes it considerable stronger than our competitors. Personally I’ve been using our racks for four years and never have damaged a sidewall. Cheers!

Review: Khyber V1 Multi-Pivot Bike Rack
@bigmeatpete420: Our mast is adjustable - You can put it in high mode boosting ground clearance. Also by removing the limiter pin you can run the rack in forward position considerably boosting wheel clearance. We've designed our rack to be driven off road and through cross ditches without damaging your rack or bike. Cheers.

Thanks for the review Matt! We're stoked to hear you like the rack. We understand that our price point might not be for everyone, but our goal was to build the strongest, most durable bike rack that won't rust out - and we believe we've achieved that. We only use high quality material (full spec on our website) and put it through rigorous testing to make sure it lasts a lifetime. Cheers, Khyber Racks

Khyber Racks Is A New Bike Rack Company Based in Whistler
@insertfunusername:
It was initially built just for personal use. It wasn't until about 3 years ago, after the 3rd iteration was built, that we decided it would be a good idea to put the effort into making something we could offer to others, and also have the resources to do so.
