Terrene Chunk 2.6" Tire - Review
I'm essentially an old and fat biker that could give a shit less about "attractive price points" for subpar gear and I'll stick with my tried and true Maxxis rotation - thank you.

Vista Outdoor To Sell Bell, Giro, Blackburn, & Other Brands
How can the generally intelligent readership of PB not levy one comment on the superlative example of corporate shit talk and doublespeak by Chris Metz - " This transformation plan is a significant first step toward creating a portfolio of brands that is laser-focused on our target consumer and leverages the strengths of our combined platform," said Metz. "This renewed focus will allow us to invest in these categories and their natural adjacencies. Coupled with our previously announced sales and marketing reorganization to drive a founder's mentality back into our brands, this strategic orientation will also allow us to accelerate our efforts to expand e-commerce capabilities and increase our emphasis on market-leading product innovation. The end result will be a Vista Outdoor that lives up to the potential envisioned three years ago when the company was formed." I'm all about Vista making money in whatever manner they chose. I'm less enamoured with having to read this over wrought verbal diarrhea from Chris Mezt, knowing full well that Warren Buffet ( or most 19 year olds with a GED) could have said the same with honesty and integrity in one short sentence that the majority of working people in this country could readily understand. This dick head should apply for a cabinet position. What is clear is that we are often supporting brands with our hard-earned money who, could give a shit less about us the end user.

February 2018 - Good Month or Bad Month?
Talk about about enlightened.........PB just couldn't resist putting its dick in a iron vise again with the three paragraph Vista Outdoors rehash here. I guess the 1500 posts in the comment section gave somebody a woody at PB thinking of potential advertising revenue ROI. Keep that contentious, off-topic shit up and watch the core revenue generators start looking for the exit signs......

Pinkbike Poll: Does Bike Weight Matter?
The "go out and have fun on whatever you've got" seems like the best comment so far. I got curious once to see what my bike weighed, so I wheeled my bike into the house with the brilliant idea to get on my wife's high dollar, super body metric measuring digital wonder scale she keeps hidden in her closet - dam if I'll ever do that again - totally screwed up the scale by maxing it out and discovered that that I was 20 lbs heavier with 8 percent more body fat than i had at the last physical. Total buzzkill. Worst part was the three sad faced heart emojis that came up on the screen before it turned off, which according the maker Tanita, meant I already had one foot in the grave. Suffice it to say I dramatically changed my diet and started working out a minimum of three days a week. Things are now about where they should be for a reasonably fit geezer that still loves the outdoors.

Mike VS Mike: How We'd Spend Our Money - Video
So subscribed ! I love this format. I'm gonna ride these guys' ass like a government mule over all the inconsequential topics they even hope to cover. Whining over the fact that they've never had $3K to "scape" together for a bike........ Give me a break. If both of you aren't making $45C CAD a year or more, you need to call me for free career counseling. You guys get more shit for free than the average unmarried dentist can buy, and you accept it the full weight of knowing that you will end up extolling virtues about something 90% of the riders that would leave you sucking wind at the trail head would never give two fucks about. I'll leave you with a quote by Mahatma Gandhi on self perception - “It is good to see ourselves as others see us. Try as we may, we are never able to know ourselves fully as we are, especially the evil side of us. This we can do only if we are not angry with our critics but will take in good heart whatever they might have to say"

Jill Kintner and Adrien Loron Re-sign with Norco Bicycles for 2018
With the plateau in mountain bike sales in general, Jill is a very wise investment for Norco, especially in growing the women's segment of their business. Show me a better ambassador for any brand right now ? if they had half a brain they'd sign her for the next six years and give her the resources and charge of growing that market opportunity. Jill totally kicks ass and inspires everyone she comes in contact with - experientially speaking, that's what brands will need to be remotely relevant with consumers for the foreseeable future.
