Review: The Forbidden Reya Throws Conventional XC Geometry Out the Window
Just for the sake of discussion, I personally still like the word downcountry. I hear people use all sorts of words to convey the same meaning. "XC-Adjacent" "Short Travel Trail Bike" "XC bike that you wouldn't race on" "Trail bike but not a burly trail bike like a druid". Say the word downcountry and it is less sylables and everyone knows what you mean. I know it just came from a guy goofin around but all words come from somewhere.
Is it really a worse word than "enduro"?

@nozes: Interesting. I must be doing something wrong because I'm giving clipless a go and have the pedals set to the lowest tension with the SH-56's and they really do not want to come out of the pedal no matter what

@tommyrod74: Yea I hear that but does 80% of the serious MTB population live on the east coast? I live in CO and have a 160/150 bike and a 120/120 bike. I love both but anytime anyone asks me, I always say, if you're only going to have one MTB (like the majority of sane people) get the all mountain bike.
A 120 bike is not going to cut it at White Ranch or Apex. Yes, you technically COULD get down the trail but it isn't going to be most people's idea of fun.
