Lace Anchors is one of the very few shoe accessories that actually make sense. If you are currently tying bows or knots behind your tongue, tucking laces inside your shoes, or dealing with discomfort from laces shoved in your shoes, then this is a product that will make you smile. Lace Anchors attach to your laces and act as an anchor behind the eyelet of your shoes allowing you to trim all the excess lacing that is normally shoved inside your shoes causing hassles and discomfort. Lace Anchors allow you to set the tension when you initially install them, meaning you decide how tight or loose your shoes slip on and off. When I initially began this project I didn't realize how many athletes just slip their shoes on and off without tying their shoes super tight every time they put them on. This opened up the opportunity to sponsor some of these awesome athletes! We also have a new line of wallets and belts that will be coming out this summer called Strapp, they are like nothing that is currently on the market and will definitely turn some heads. We would like to give a special thank-you, and welcome James Visser, Jack Fogelquist, Brendan Howey, and Skye Schillhammer to the 2012 Lace Anchors Team. You guys rock! Check the Edits out below.

It all started out with a dremel tool, one of my kids Lego style building blocks and some long annoying laces that were completely pointless. With those 3 ingredients I made my first Lace Anchors Prototype, there was nothing pretty about them but the functionality was awesome. I knew there were so many people out there that would appreciate my creation so I decided to move forward with producing a store worthy version. I thought this was going to be a easy task, but the truth is I ended up spending almost a year developing, manufacturing and finding packagers that could meet the high demands that large retail shoe chain stores could create. Who knew such a little product could cause so many packaging headaches, there were many, many, hurdles to jump over to get this product to the retail ready stage that we have finally arrived at. We are currently scheduled to be on the counters of select stores of a very large national chain in June, and expanding to occupy all of their stores very quickly a short time later. We plan to aggressively market and spread our brand internationally to retail shoe chain stores and specialty distributors around the world, of course this is no easy task, but we will make it happen. MSRP will be $3.50USD per pack.

This is great product. I have been lucky to get my hands on these and love the results. I have always been tying knots and cutting the rest of my laces off. Eventually the knot comes out and I have janked up laces missing a few holes.

This product works and keeps all you kicks on your feet without the "bunny ears" flopping around when your riding or reppin a fresh pair out for the night. May seem small, but has big results in something everybody deals with daily!

Thanks for the hook up Chuck!

Very useful! Love my Lace Anchors

Thanks for the props man! Im glad they are working out for you. I will stop by your shop in a few days!
  • 40
man these remind me of those "breathe right nasal strips" so damn simple, yet useful... and i know that nearly every one of you is mentally beating themselves up right now for not thinking like Mr. LaceAnchors over here, very clever sir you are doing it right
  • 30
This is fantastic idea and I will buy a set for each of my shoes! When will you be shipping to Canada?
PS: If my question has already been answered in the above article or someone else asked already, I'm very sorry!

 Sick product
  • 95
can't wait to see carbon ones with remote lockout for 100 quid.
  • 10
I think its a good idea, should be skater product also on like ccs or something. I like to tie little knots on the inside of the shoes at the top, and don't have to worry about it really.
  • 20
so you're saying that if i buy these, i'll be able to ride like those guys?!
  • 100
Absolutely not! I already tried it. FAIL.
  • 41
Speak for yourself I out Lace Anchors in my shoes and Bam instant backflips. Smile
  • 20
I like the idea it is simple, cheap, and seems effective. What more can the consumer and the business ask for?
  • 10
Effective marketing. Worked on me - I want some now! Nice line-up of riders too. Brendan Howey is perhaps my favorite rider. Love how that guy shreds!
  • 10
And, My god! Just read some of that ridiculous ranting. I can't even imagine how much wasted time was spent on that diatribe.
  • 53
Wow, seems like somone has an ambitious marketing department.
  • 251
well it has worked me because id never heard of them before now and i want a set
  • 71
I totally agree, this is an ingenious product. Why didn't anyone think of these before ?
  • 81
I am a very ambitious person in general and of course I want this product to be successful, there is no doubt about it! It might seem like a little too much hype for such a simple little product that a large portion of PB viewers will find useless, but some of them will definitely love the product. What I can tell you for sure is that having this Team of riders makes our Website, and social media outlets accepted 10 fold by your average kid. It gives me pleasure knowing that I am helping some of these awesome athletes by providing a sponsorship while at the same time giving me the opportunity to make my marketing 10 times cooler. Our website, and social media outlets would be so bland without athletes, this is just the beginning. I haven't rode a MTB since I was 18 when I purchased my first bike which was a cannondale raven, I could barely afford to eat because of the payment on that bike! Now that I started working with these guys and frequently viewing PB, I'm dying to get back on a bike, I may just have to sponsor myself! Thanks for the great comments guys, I appreciate the support!  If you read the article I told you an even better way, dremel, and lego block and BAM you have some lace anchors!
So your're already thinking on how to make them! Don't worry, They will be available in mexico city. If it's the MSRP of $3.50, dont worry actual retail price is less.
  • 60
Its all good! I understand this product isnt for everyone.
  • 50
Why would anyone bother trying to make their own, when they are the lease expensive product you could possibly by at a shoe store?
  • 117
Treelinesnw he is from mexico do i even need to say more? $3.50 is like 4 day hard work there.
  • 87
Manuel do everyone a favor and fall off the Train of Death before you make it to America.
  • 58
The last time I checked Mexico was not a very green country. Oh and correction it would take almost a whole days pay to get $3.50 usd it is roughly 48 pesos and a minimum days wage in Mexico is 54 pesos per day. So I can see why you'd want to make your own with a pocket knife.
  • 101
@The-Banders: If I misread I'm sorry but the racism is not cool. Talk about the product and keep the bigotry to yourself.
  • 66
There was no racism it was a very educated response. I did a study on why people migrate to the United States from Mexico. It is due to low wages the highest minimum wage in Mexico is 57.46 per day that is just under 4.10 USD. The train of death is a train that runs from Mexico to the US it is called this because of the number of people that fall off.
  • 47
The editors did not delete your comments. The users clicked the down arrow, enough of them did it so your comments were hidden. My comments are not racist they are true facts. Also Mr. ManuelMTB if you educated yourself you'd have saw that Lace Anchors already donates to a charity. So enough with the internet fight either buy the product or don't. Have a good day and ride hard hope your Laces don't get caught in your chain but when they do you'll wish you had some Lace Anchors.
  • 50
Manuel, I understand your feeling about racism and trust me, I judge NOBODY by race. I am a pretty big target for racism being half korean and to tell you the truth I can't say that I have ever been a direct target of racism by anyone? Atleast not to my face or in a public place as this. I feel this is because I don't put myself in the position to be targeted in the first place. I don't agree with some things that were said to you, "albeit in a sarcastic way" but you are basically what people call a Troll, you got the reaction you were looking for right? As far as the "consumption responsible focus" That you try to use against this product, there is more pollution and landfill waste created in a pack of chewing gum(which is not biodegradable) that you chew through in a couple days, pack after pack than there is in a single pack of Lace Anchors. The Soles of a average pair of shoes have an equivalent amount of landfill waste as approximately 1,500 Lace Anchors and those soles cause much more pollution in the manufacturing stage than our product. Am I creating Trash by creating a product, yes. There is no way out of that. I can own that. I applaud the companies that can utilize waste and create something new. This is something that we are definitely working on for the future. Our lace anchors are made from a fiber filled material that is stiff, extremely strong, non-warping and can withstand harsh hot and cold temperatures along with UV rays. Being such a simple product we wanted to make sure that it was made with the best materials possible which is why we went the direction that we did, I tested biodegradable products and there were always characteristic problems with the materials along with cost and consistency issues. If you have some suggested materials for us to test, please feel free to send us your thoughts to [email protected].

This is not some new "brilliant invention" that is going to change the MTB community, nor was it meant to be. Just a shoe accessory that may help some people out. I have ZERO problem with anyone that does not like this product and you have every right to post your thoughts, thats what this comment section is for. continue on!
  • 34
@The-Banders "$3.50 is like 4 day hard work there." hahaha thats a funny comment right there! but seriously, imo thats not necessary, and nike already solve that problem whit some extra holes...http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/7866065/ and my mavic shoes have a buckle btw, so for me, this product sound like a waist of money, here in mexico i can buy a burro, two tacos and some enchiladas w that kind of money! o no crees tocayo? hahaha
  • 30
Manuel, Thanks for the good words even though you don't agree with the product, I appreciate that. Chuck
  • 34
No I actually got my information from the currency exchange dude. And again I said nothing about race I said your economy sucks and for not liking Americans you guys sure do try pretty hard to come live with us but I guess I would want clean drinking water too.
  • 43
Manuel, you came, you trolled, you hooked one(Banders) and you got to attack the entire USA while you were at it. Congrats. Consider yourself even with the 1 American that posted anything negative directed at you or your country in the entire thread.
Your posts were not deleted by mods they were voted down by people from any possible country because you were trolling from beginning and it was obvious.
  • 44
In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory,[2]extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response

You were obviously looking for a reaction and you got it!

The reaction you received is when you were not just defending your country, but rather attacking everyone in the USA for something 1 person in the USA was saying to you.

Now look up the definition of ignorance.
  • 23
 And moron.
  • 12
Well I'd love to stay and argue with you but I'm going to put on my shoes which go on easy and fit great thanks to lace anchors and go ride my bike cause the sun is shinning and its an awesome day here in san jose California you should patch the tube in that 1997 giant you got and go do the same.
  • 22
Just so it is clear Manuel for the future so you understand what is going on if this happens to you again, this is you basically being a Troll:
"Really?! I cannot believe my eyes what marketing can do!
I bet soon there will be Lace Anchors Plus with anti-athlets foot and Lace Anchors Cool in 35 different cool colors!"
"Yeah, and Lace Anchors 29er "for the athlet with big wheels & big feet"
"You do realize that anyone can make a pair of those with a piece of plastic and a swiss army knife, right? Good luck anyway."
"Because you can tie your laces & donate those $3.50 to your favourite charity?, To avoid buying useless things where plastic packaging and marketing costs are probably as expensive as the product itself?, Responsible consumption perhaps? Yeah, I know the last option does not exist in USA"

If you don't think that your comments were looking for negative attention from someone, I don't know what to tell you.

You guys should both just drop it and ride your bikes! Thats the funny part, you are both share a passion and your both on the same big round ball (earth) you have never met each other and you hate each other! HHHhhhhmmmmmm......

Yes manuel I get it, my product is pointless. You have mentioned this. Thanks.
  • 21
Its all good! Funny part is its you me and banders in here having this lame conversation! Wish I could go ride!
  • 24
did you crash on your bike cause i notice you have a chip on your shoulder. bottom line is your hatin cause we can spend 3.50 on a "useless product" and your stuck in mexico drinking dirty water.
  • 13
Ok we got way off subject. Were the Videos cool? yes. Is the product useful? yes. Sorry for everyone who has to read all the other BS just watch the videos it will make up for it.
  • 13
  • 10
yes we are all ciclistas (cyclists)have fun ib beautiful mexico. but maybe you should type in english everyone understands what you are saying. not everyone has family that taught them spanish like I do.
  • 10
And yes I too would rather live in Canada more trails and not as many laws a rules California has to many limits on everything.
  • 20
That is such a genius idea
  • 10
what is the song in Fogelquist's video?
  • 11
A brilliant backround by Dillon Pratt. It says in in the video when he gets his bike out of the truck.
  • 10
Should I cut down shoelaces after tie them using that thing?
  • 10
Cutting the Shoelace is your option, EVERYONE that has used and tested for me has cut all the excess lacing off to my knowledge. Go to our website and watch the how to install video, hope that helps. Some of the kids we have tested with don't mind the discomfort and want to constantly change their lace patterns so they don't cut the excess lacing. You can also just pull the lace back out of the eyelet once the Anchors are installed and let them hang. I will be posting this method shortly on our Facebook. Chuck
  • 10
 where can i get some.....
  • 45
cant believe anyone would buy these....
  • 13
CAN I PUT THOSE ON ANY SHOES I WANT?
  • 30
I wish I could say yes, but I haven't had the chance to try them on every shoe yet but I'm working on it!! HAHA. I would say to look at your shoe and decide if it looks like it will work, you will have to have eyelets, some shoes don't have eyelts and they will not work on those. Chuck Harris
  • 42
Perry I don't think they will work on slip-on or flip flops Smile
