First Ride: the Trek Slash+ Sets a High Bar
@j-t-g: I have the new Top Fuel and I think the flat black paint is sick! Take a look in person if you haven't - feels like a great finish, also rides great =). Paint is personal though so all good if it's just not for you.

Video: LeBron James & Canyon Bicycles Partner to Inspire a New Generation of Riders
@atrokz: Buddy, no one claimed LeBron would put out the MOST power of any human on the planet. I simply wondered what his peak power might look like. Because he is massive and massively strong, I am confident his peak power would be much greater than the fastest Tour sprinter. But if I wanted to put money on the athlete that could put out the highest number (and we're talking just peak power here) then I would bet it would be either an NFL player - like a lineman who at 350lbs can still run a 4.4 second 40 - or an Olympic power lifter. Usain Bolt, though the fastest man alive, wouldn't be in contention because he is a pretty svelte guy when you get down to it. I think you're a bit confused on the difference between peak power and watts/kilo. I guarantee you that if (quick google search of heaviest NFL lineman) Daniel Faalele bothered to get on a bike and put all his power into the cranks, he'd put the power meter through the roof before snapping it right in half. And listen, this argument is coming from someone who believes that TDF cyclists are the greatest athletes in the world - but raw numbers are raw numbers.

@bigmeatpete420: I disagree - his watts/kilo would be very uncompetitive, but as a raw number, I bet it's almost double Jasper Phillipsen's peak output - he's over 250lbs and a freak athlete.

@xice: I would seriously love to know his 10 second power if he had a bike that could withstand it...

First Ride: The Trek Top Fuel Gets Lightly Revised for 2025
This bike is for FUN. I would run a 140 fork and put it in the 130 rear and be stoked on a great trail bike that won't be too heavy and slow and also won't be held back by not enough travel or steep geo. Sounds like the suspension is pretty dialed. As a side note, the Supercaliber is a far more capable bike than its travel numbers suggest. An Epic 8 Evo isn't going to go to 130/140. I imagine Specialized might bring back the Camber to have a bike with those numbers, and then I'm sure you'll ask the same thing, what's that bike for? And my answer will be the same - it's for FUN.

First Ride: 2024 Specialized Epic EVO 8
If I had all the cheese in the world, I'd trade my gen 7 epic evo for a new S-works epic frame and be very happy with the extra rear travel and swat box - but mainly I'd be after the new kinematics. Sadly, this little mouse only has so much cheese, so I'll happily keep racing my evo, which weighs less than any of these bikes.
