Vitus Launches 2019 Mountain Bikes
@HardtailZero: That's unfortunate to hear, I was hoping mine was an isolated incident. CRC got everything straightened away in the end, but it did take about 2 months for the whole process. They ended up sending me a carbon CRX frame as a replacement due to not having any non boost aluminum frames left. The frame also came with the shock included so I ended up getting a much better frame and i was able to sell the extra shock, so they definitely took care of me. 100% happy with CRC's service other than being a bit slow but the frame/shock made up for that. Still sucks the aluminum frames are breaking, we'll see how the carbon frame fares.

Transition Patrol alloy frame, XL

$1100 CAD
2016 Transition Patrol alloy frame, XL size. Very good shape, has not seen much riding. I have changed the decals to orange, but the original bright yellow color is still underneath if you wanted to change it back. There are a few marks in the paint and scuffs, but there are no dents or significant damage. Bearings/pivots are tight and run smooth. The frame will come with a Rockshox Monarch Plus Debonair RC3 air shock. I can throw in a Fox DHX RC2 with a 400lb spring for an extra $100. Non-boost spacing, 12mmx142.

Brand New Rockshox Monarch Plus Debonair RC3, 200x57

$350 CAD
Brand new, never used rockshox monarch plus debonair RC3, DB ML tune, 200m x 57mm. It was supplied on a warranty replacement frame, but I still have my original Monarch shock from the broken frame, so I don't need this one. Will ship globally at the buyers expense.

I know I'm late to the party but I'm just going to throw this in here in case anyone is doing research. I loved my sommet up until I broke the frame right between the rear shock mounts. It broke straight through, starting at where the seat tube welds to the piece that goes around the rear shock. CRC has been less than responsive regarding warranty, but talked through live chat to a rep this morning and he assured me that they're just backed up and hope to get back to me in the next 5 business days (it has been 11 calendar days so far since I emailed my warranty claim). He was very polite and I'm sure they'll get it sorted out, but just thought I'd throw my experience with my vitus bike in here for anyone looking at buying one. More was a 2016 sommet pro, ridden for about 2.5 summers before the frame broke this year.

I ride a XL 2016 vitus sommet pro ( ) and love it. I use it for my everything bike, xc to bike parks. I rode my local cross country trails all summer and went on a few trips to the mountains as well (fernie bike park, whistler bike park/xc trails, and revelstoke xc trails) and it handled all of them well. The only place where I have ran into problems is on steep up hill climbs on tight switch backs the bike can be difficult to get around the corners due to my bike being a XL frame and the sommet being more raked out than its true trail counter parts. A small price to pay to have a bike that will be at home in the parks as well (at least for someone at my skill level). I rode whistler at the end of sept and it handled the jumps, ruts, and braking bumps very well.

Guatemala Mountain Biking: Part One - Antigua Trails
Here is a quick vid of our ride going through the towns outside Antigua: Also wanted to mention that Hectors Bistro has some very good food. I recommend going there at least once during your stay if you ever find yourself near Antigua

Guatemala Mountain Biking: Part One - Antigua Trails
My girlfriend and I were just in Antigua at the end of February into early march. We went on a guided tour through Old town Outfitters which went through many of the surrounding communities allowing us to see much of the country side and culture of the area. We plan to go again and find some more trail oriented mountain biking, so we'll definitely be hitting Backshop Bikes up to see what they have to offer. Awesome write up!
