The Tuesday Tune 15 - The Concept of Correct Setup

The Tuesday Tune Ep 15 - The Concept of Correct Setup

Call me crazy, but I'm going to say that was the best Tuesday Tune ever!
I've had two of my moto bikes set up by Race Tech, good guys, very scientific.

I finally have my CC Inline Air set for my 2015 carbon Tallboy. At least for 1 plus '2/5ths' volume spacers.
Next thing to try is clipping off one more row of volume reducer. Hope it doesn't work..
Quick question- I tend to set my chassis balance with F/R sag. I'm running the Pike 120mm at 55psi (150Lbs on the bike) to get weight transfer to the front tire. Rear sag is around 9mm to do the same.
Problem is, the balance with Specialized Ground Controls was perfect, but now with my new Purgatories are tucking the front wheel in loose corners so hard I nearly high side.
I always run identical tires F/R to avoid these types of things.
Any ideas?
Thank you.

Sounds like the obvious thing to try would be to go back to Ground Controls?

Oh I'm much more stubborn than that! I feel like it might be my own fault with bad body position at those times. Or my low fork psi is finally biting me in the butt. Come to think of it, I swapped to Purgatories at the same time I swapped the PUSH boost valve shock to the DB Inline Air. Although the balance feels perfect on a plain old dirt trail, the Purgatories might just be finding side nob traction the Ground Controls can't dream of. Maybe. Headed back out to Moab this weekend. Sussing this out by the end of the trip. Thank you. Eric

These videos are great. In-depth enough to be useful but still accessible.
