Its mindboggling. a complete Fred can rent a bike, buy a lift ticket and hit Crabapple, kill themselves and Vail is totally down. A guy that makes every concession and I assume signs an additional waiver....no.

@HeatedRotor: I can assure you, all sets went out bled. I know the issue. still, they are trash brakes. you likely aren't going to change my mind. I have ridden them personally and I understand the customer feedback. they really are rubbish.
My customers make up their own mind. I do not poison the well. The feedback I get is unsolicited. If it were a couple, I would chalk it up to the individual. when its dozens? no....something is wrong with the equipment.

@HeatedRotor: well, I can speak from my experience, and I have probably sold a couple dozen bikes that come with mavens, and a solid 70% of buyers either have me swap them out or come back in short order to remove them. All saying the same thing "way too much lever pull and way too much force to get them to do anything".
I can make Hopes not rub fairly easily, but they will sometimes make a slight rub noise when the rotors are very hot, due to expansion. it goes away. If that bugs you enough to ride an inferior brake, I can't argue with you on that.

I have ridden them quite a bit. when they are dialed, they are spectacular. but: they lose bleed easily, especially when you gain or lose a ton of elevation. also, the seals in the master cylinder are very touchy. one crash where the lever gets jammed will blow them out.
other than that, they are amazing at the price point

anyone that says a 1 piece is no different than 2, clearly doesn't ride hard. I can feel the flex in a caliper in the lever of both sram and shimano brakes. its rather clear.

its not THAT much more if it actually works and feels good, vs SRAM.
