No kidding. Every time I see a new super duty pickup it blows me away how big they are getting. I'm 6' tall and a lot of the hoods are at shoulder height for me. Add to it the fact that they easily weigh north of 3 tons and you're losing that battle every time. Will the X2 fork also need to be rebuilt every 6 months to perform well??

Every time I see a new TT helmet, I can't help but think of the Malcom in the Middle where Walter, I mean Hal, gets into race walking and wears the skinsuit with helmet... not far off!

@tom666: Not unpopular at all but good luck trying to convince the marketing/sales department of any of these large companies that they don't need a new color/name/model every year. I think it speaks more to a general critique on modern society that A) Companies are considered unsuccessful if they don't grow EVERY YEAR and B) Us as humans feel the need to upgrade stuff even when we have something that is perfectly fine, even great. I look at a company like Bike Yoke and wish more companies followed their model. They don't update just to update, all of their improvement are genuine improvements on the existing products to fill a need in the marketplace. They also make a product that is bulletproof AND easy to service AND is the best in class. But I guarantee that if an investor got involved none of that stuff would be good enough, they'd only be concerned about how much growth the company had year over year. Someone recently coined the term "Enshitification" to describe how online platforms die over time, and I think it holds true to a lot of companies as well. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enshittification

@valrock: LOL, it pedals up just fine. First ride was a little over 3K feet of elevation gain on my thanksgiving day ride. Wish I had some of these gondolas and chairlifts that you speak of :)

Just swapped over from a Santa Cruz hightower to a Reeb Sqweeb with all of the things you mentioned and I freaking love it so far. Added a coil on the back cuz I got tired of screwing with the X2 on my last bike. Rides like a dream and the maintenance is a breeze.
