Video: ODI Launches Elite Series Grips
Hey Everyone. While we unveiled these grips at Interbike, our plan was actually to take them live next week. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case as our video which we uploaded got made public without any further information. So..here it is... The new grips ODI E-Lite Series are designed for those riders who are looking for added comfort on longer rides. As primary test rider, Curtis Keene has provided a lot of influence into the design of the Elite models which offer more cushioning where needed most without providing a feeling of overall bulkiness. The key to this is that the inside core from the lock-on grip is off-set from the rubber which provides more cushion on the top of the grip where it is needed most without changing the overall diameter of the grip. We've also redesigned the knurl pattern in order to provide a softer feel at key points, while allows optimum traction where needed most. They are available in three models: Motion (non-waffled), and Flow (half-waffle) and Pro (padded and half-waffle). Utilizing our single clamp V2 system, which was adapted from our motocross line we are able to provide more comfort for riders who often place their hands on the outside of the grips. The clamp bolt also has a head size of 3mm (as opposed to our original style clamps 2.5mm) to provide easier installation and improved torque strength.. They are all 130mm in length, with each model varying slightly in diameter: Motion (30mm), Flow (31mm) and Pro (32mm). MSRP is $28.95 and the Elite series grips are now available. Check with your local bike dealer for local availability. For more information please visit www.odigrips.com.

Inside ODI: Keeping It In The US
Thanks for all of the comments and your support of ODI. We are proud to be able to control the production process from the initial design to final production which allows us to innovate at every step in the process. We are also pleased to be able to provide jobs to our local community. I noticed a lot of you are interested in getting more information on how the grips and tooling are actually produced. I can assure you that the process is intricate and can take a considerable amount of time depending on the intricacies of the part design. If any of you are in the Riverside, CA area and would like to stop by for a tour of our facility, please feel free to drop us an email and we will be happy to show you most of how we do it (we do have some trade secrets).

First Look: New AG-1 Lock-On Grips From ODI - Sea Otter 2014
As many people know there's no substitute for eliminate twisting and slipping to the way that ODI Lock On grips clamp directly onto the handlebars, and not onto plastic that is pinched onto the handlebar. The new clamp continues to use this design, but it is slightly larger giving it more strength. When attached to our plastic tube you won't need to worry about the end of the grip twisting. It was super important to us and AG that we eliminate that outside clamp. We started using it in our motocross grips about 1 1/2 years ago and after proving it succesful, we've brought it back over into our MTB line.

First Look: New AG-1 Lock-On Grips From ODI - Sea Otter 2014
Iffy, thanks for the compliments. The plastic end caps are actually molded all the way through the grip. It's not something you can see from these photos, but they are part of the plastic tube that runs all the way through the grip. In addition, that colored ODI logo on the end is actually aluminum molded into the grip giving you extra protection for your bars ends and making you grips last longer. And Drakche, part of the reason that the clamps come preinstalled is because of them being a single clamp design. In order to get the most secured single clamp design, we needed to pre-install. But don't worry, we will have many color options to choose from.
