@Joebohobo: yes i know , i was refering to mr french saying that he focused his invites on the top world cup results . but theo was invited . im guessing that was based on the viewership and fans he brings and not results . either way , its his show and he can invite who he wants . now hes mentioned he did actually invite bernard ( who seems to have declined ) and from what i can take an educated guess on hes also invited jordan , who could equally stand a chance of winning if he accepts

@maydenabikepark: thanks for the reply . very surprised he didnt accept . i just assumed jordan was the uk rider you invited . my mistake . thankyou for at least giving the uk an opportunity even if it wasnt taken up

@maydenabikepark: theo erlangson ? dont get me wrong , id invite him if it were me , hes one of my favourite personalities and great for pr . but then so is bernard kerr , whos actualky won similar events multiple times . ( but theo isnt top of w/c results) do you have personal reason against inviting bernard . no hate as im so greatful for what your doing.

in the 90’s quite a few bikes were“ ball burnished “ dont know the exact process , or why they dont do it anymore but that colour was my favourite , made the bikes look amazing .

@the-smith: yeah i hope that never comes back , couldnt stand rider protected status , in a world where everyone espouses equality , why on earth in a sport would you give a few people an unfair advantage and make it even harder for new people to get to the top level and make a living , whilst making it much easier for the guys who are already there . if you have the same level of opportunity over 2 qualifying runs and still dont get in then you werent one of the best that weekend , you dont deserve to be in the final . equality of opportunity . thats fairness . and the argument about sponsors seems ridiculous to me , sponsorship at that level is business and business is risk . you shouldnt be guaranteeing a businesses investment in a sport . thats borderline corruption . if something only benefits 5 or 10 riders in the whole world ,but hurts hundreds of others then its hardly a good thing . i prefer fairness over guessing what non- current dh fans may or may not be attracted to start watching something theyve never watched before , infact if it were me id be more excited to watch a new sport where anything could happen at any point and underdogs had a chance to make it big . if you wanna see everyone in the finals then dont have qualifying atall , if not then make it fair

@ryanridessc: yeah i second that , ive had numerous brands and always rode flats, and i stopped buying 5:10s years ago once i tried specialized 2fo roosts new shoes , grippiest shoe out there . unfortunately im told that specialized have now stopped making shoes alltogether ( must be this year ) so i stocked up

if the uk had a nominee it would be dave pearce 100000% most unsung hero , total humble quiet guy but has done more for uk downhill scene for 35 years than anyone i can think of . many world cup champions and winners have come through his series and hes still at it and still doing so much even tho hes nearly 70

how are they measuring bar height ? is it to top of grip from floor ? or centre of grip

fastest 2 youth riders were faster than every junior and would have placed 7th in elite .
