Paul Taylor Custom Steel Road 61cm XL

$850 USD
I picked up this bike from an old colleague and just don't have room for it in the house these days. The bike is beautiful though! One thing anyone needs to know is that it looks like the frame may need some repair. The downtube/headtube junction shows what might be some cracks. The bike is steel and fillet brazed and I just haven't had a chance to get it fixed. I've priced it a bit lower than I would otherwise for the expected repairs Frame: Taylor Steel road frame. Taylor made beautiful custom bikes in Marin (used to sell them at Bicycle Odyssey in Sausalito but apparently he moved to Montana few years back). This is made from Columbus Spirt tubing and is fillet brazed. Additionally the fork is a custom steel creation with a beautiful paneled crown and tapered blades. Rides wonderfully. Dimensions: Top Tube (center to center): 61cm Seat Tube (center to center): 60cm Head tube: 22.5cm Chainstay: 41.8cm This is definitely an XL and suitable for someone in the 6'3 - 6'6" range Wheels: DT Swiss 350 to H Plus Son Archetype rims with DT Swiss Double butted spokes. Handbuilt at Bespoke Cycles in San Francisco (also have a set of Enve SES 3.4 version 2 wheels I could swap for additional cost) Tires: Continental Grand Prix 4000 28mm Derailleurs: Campagnolo Chorus 11 Crankset: Campagnolo Record carbon (with new chainrings) Cassette: Campagnolo Chorus (new) Chain: Campagnolo Record Brakes: Campagnolo Chorus Levers/Shifters: Campagnolo Chorus carbon Stem: Easton 100mm Bars: Deda RHM 01 Headset: Chris King BB: Campagnolo (new) Post: Thomson Elite (zero setback) Saddle: Specialied Romin Pedals: not included but I have some I could throw on here

Opinion: 7 Things All New Mountain Bikes Should Have
threaded bottom brackets with 30mm spindle cranks are a bit of a headache. Can't tell you how many bottom brackets I've gone through. Those bearings are tiny and the seals usually suck. Maybe T47 as a standard would be better than BSA?
