Interview: Bart Brentjens on What The Future of XC Racing Looks Like
I agree that the more technical courses leads to solo racers. I'd rather see riders racing in a pack fighting for the lead, elbow to elbow. If I want to see solo riders I'll tune in to Enduro or Downhill racing. Racers' fitness/watts on the uphills is a big part of what makes XCO really exciting to me.

So, 3 Gold medals for the Trek Supercaliber bike with Scorpion XC RC tires. Must be a pretty good setup for Short Track racing.
