It takes a lot of requests for us to bring back a component we’ve made in the past, and while there have indeed been many such requests for the return of Duplex brake lever, we’re also bringing it back for our own reasons…
While this lever was originally designed with the sport of Bicycle Polo in mind, we’re also a big fan of what this lever enables for those who are unable to use traditionally separate brake levers, and with its creative application on all types of tandem and cargo bikes with more than two brakes. We’re pretty sure we’ll never see every possible configuration this brake lever makes possible!

On a more serious note, I do know of (acquaintance) who is a below elbow amputee, rides a Saint Front Brake, some slim Deore rear brake, and stacks the levers as close as possible to actuate with one hand, along with a shifter! It is pretty damn impressive.
However, having run a dual lever on my bmx, Odyssey makes a great unit.
A better question by me would have been: How is this relevant to what this website spends all of its time talking about?
I've set up a couple of mountain bikes now for one-handed riders or riders with limited dexterity in one hand and they were probably included for this reason rather than bike polo. Not every mountain biker that reads Pinkbike is an enduro bro, in fact probably most aren't. Think outside your bubble a little.
