9 Things We Learned from the 2026 Leogang DH World Cup
@jeremy3220: Fair enough... I didn't hear that, so thanks for "learning" me something new.

9 Things We Learned from the 2026 Leogang DH World Cup
I don't care if the women race before or after the men. If the racing is good, I'll watch it. That's all that matters to me and that's the truest form of "equality" or whatever. On the contrary, a strong argument could be had that the women's race was moved because conditions were better (easier). That's not really equality, but again, I don't care. The racing was good, the track was interesting, Vali is in a totally different league, Finn was amazing... great day of racing all around, regardless of politics. Hope to see more like it through the rest of the season. That's what I learned.

Pinkbike Poll: What Made You Stop Caring About Enduro?
I live near Pisgah where the trails and riders are PRIME for enduro - it's basically how a huge majority of us ride out there anyways. Fire road climbs, fast single track down. (There are hundreds of miles of trails in the area, most are not down hill focused. But the popular ones are; Avery Creek, Bennet Gap, Upper/Middle/Lower Black, and Sycamore are by far the most ridden trails there.)
Even here, enduro isn't really a sport. There are a few races each year in the region, but not many at all. It's just not something we have time for, racers or organizers.

Pinkbike Poll: What Made You Stop Caring About Enduro?
Many factors IMO. It had it's peak during the 'demic when people had time and money to spend on useless endeavors like enduro racing. 5-6 years later and people are working more than they were pre-pan, which impacts participants, organizers, volunteers, etc. Enduro's seem more complicated to organize than DH and XC races too, and probably take more CM's than DH and XC, which exacerbates the problem.
All in all, cool on paper, fun in person, unappealing as a televised sport. (to take nothing away from the athletes who race it... They're all specimens!)

Throwback Thursday: Remembering Mert Lawwill with 'On Any Sunday'
I watched this with my dad when I was about 13 after Terrafirma and Crusty DoD came out. I need to watch it again through the eyes of an adult instead of a bored teenager...

5 Things We Learned From the 2026 XC World Cup in South Korea
The industry has to find new and "exciting (revolutionary?)" things to talk about. The difference that 32" wheels will make for the average rider is less than the clickbait factor is. Meanwhile, have you heard about this amazing "new" technology called the inverted fork? Wowee!

Wyn Masters Injured After a "Pointless & Completely Avoidable" Near Miss Crash
@Banan725135650: Course marshals even for UCI events are just local volunteers with minimal previous experience and very little training. It's possible the local organizers didn't ask for enough CM's or didn't have enough people sign up. Or both. You've got my respect for riding such a rough course on a HT!

First Ride: The Forbidden Dreadnought E Feels Like a DH Bike with a Motor
The 482mm reach makes this bike forbidden for anyone over 6'2". Sizing reminds me of Rocky Mountain... Maybe it's a Canadian thing? Undersized bikes for the North Shore skinnies and such...

HotBars Introduces the World’s First Heated Bicycle Handlebar
As someone with Raynaud's, it's almost impossible to keep my fingers and toes warm in sub 40 degree conditions, even with lobster mits and Pogies. Having experience with heated grips on snowmobiles and motorcycles, I can attest to the benefit of "positive heat" input into my hands vs passive insulation. I fall into the take my money category.
